Project Funding by the Familie-Osthushenrich Foundation

The project funding of the Familie-Osthushenrich Foundation is aimed at educational institutions, non-profit as well as public organizations based in Ostwestfalen-Lippe. With continuously open funding opportunities, the foundation supports grants for initiatives in the areas of education, training and further education, children and youth, as well as work & social affairs. Projects are funded that contribute to education and upbringing in accordance with § 2 of the statutes – these include, for example, special programs for gifted children, measures for language promotion, transitions from school to work, or digital initiatives in daycare centers and schools. Selection is based on relevance in terms of the statutes, the sustainability of the project, as well as the methodological approach and degree of innovation. In doing so, the foundation acts in partnership to achieve long-term positive effects on the educational landscape of the region.

Interested institutions can submit applications at any time by email. Required are a detailed project description, objectives with verification mechanisms, a cost and financing plan, as well as a declaration regarding the earmarking of funds. In addition, information about the applying institution including bank details is needed. Upon receipt of the complete application, the foundation promptly reviews the eligibility for funding and, if positively pre-assessed, invites to a personal meeting on site. Small and medium-sized projects up to €5,000 are processed quickly, while larger projects are considered periodically in board decisions.
