Description

The project funding of the Odenwald Foundation – Foundation for Culture and Life in the Odenwald supports committed initiatives and individuals in the Odenwald district. Projects in the areas of arts & culture, education & science, as well as social & environmental sectors are funded. Both non-profit associations and private individuals and educational institutions can submit applications at any time. A prerequisite is a verifiable contribution from the applicants themselves as well as the implementation of the project within the Odenwald district. Through the principle of "help for self-help," sustainable impulses are intended to be created locally, encouraging many stakeholders to actively participate in shaping the community. The foundation awards one-time grants, over which no legal entitlement to a final decision can be asserted.

For the application, a completed application form, a meaningful project description, and, if applicable, additional documents must be submitted. The review is ongoing, and feedback will be provided by the end of the year. After successful funding, a factual and financial report must be submitted within three months after the project's completion, along with auditable receipts. Projects outside the Odenwald district and their costs will not be recognized. With this initiative, the Odenwald Foundation aims to sustainably strengthen cultural diversity, educational opportunities, and environmentally conscious actions in the region and to serve as a model for comparable pilot projects.
