Description

The project funding of the Parchim Citizens' Foundation supports non-profit initiatives in the interest of the city of Parchim and its citizens. Funding is provided for initiatives by clubs, interest groups, educational institutions, and private individuals with a non-profit purpose that do not fall under the mandatory tasks of the city administration. Projects can be submitted at any time in the fields of culture, social affairs, children and youth, education, commitment to social cohesion/democracy, sports, as well as work & social affairs. A funding amount of up to €500 is possible, with the foundation covering up to 50% of the total costs. Funding is intended once per applicant per year. Required for the application are the completed application form, a detailed cost and financing plan, a meaningful project description, and the valid funding guidelines.

In the selection process, the jury places special emphasis on exemplary character, a high proportion of voluntary commitment, a future-oriented approach, as well as civic initiative and self-responsibility. Creative ideas, original conceptual approaches, and impulses for social coexistence increase the chances of funding. There is no legal entitlement to funding; commercial projects, political groups, and companies are excluded. Applications are accepted continuously and reviewed at the next possible meeting of the board and advisory council. The project funding is aimed at all citizens, initiatives, and organizations in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern who contribute through engagement to strengthening the common good and wish to set new impulses in culture, education, social work, or democracy promotion.
