Description

The Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection in Vienna provides ongoing project funding that supports non-profit organizations in the independent welfare sector in implementing innovative initiatives in the fields of long-term care provision and disability services of supraregional significance. As a grant with a 100-percent funding rate, this offer enables comprehensive coverage of personnel expenses, material costs, and capital investments. The annual budget amounts to 2.48 million euros and is available until fully utilized. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing projects to be realized flexibly and according to demand. The supraregional orientation requires the involvement of at least two federal states to generate synergy effects in long-term care provision and disability assistance and to achieve a sustainable impact for people in need of care as well as their relatives.

Funding is provided to non-profit organizations that demonstrate their eligibility through a detailed project proposal including a financing plan, extract from the register of associations, financial statements, and statutes. Particular importance is attached to reporting on the proper use of funds. The Social Ministry Service decides on the allocation, and also handles disbursement and controls. By combining funding for personnel and material costs as well as necessary investments, high-quality care is ensured and innovative models of disability work are promoted. The continuation of proven structures and the use of existing networks guarantee efficiency and precision. This funding instrument offers non-profit organizations the opportunity to establish sustainable projects in growth areas of social and health care and to significantly improve the framework conditions for people requiring support.
