As an ongoing award, it combines the character of a prize with funding incentives for non-profit organizations, companies, public and educational institutions, as well as start-ups. Projects already submitted can be considered at any time, ensuring flexible planning. The focus is on approaches that implement innovative solutions for risk reduction and resilience enhancement, addressing both local and supraregional challenges.
Civil society actors, research initiatives, and public bodies demonstrating their organizational sponsorship and professional expertise through a coherent project concept are eligible for funding. Key evaluation criteria include the degree of innovation, relevance to target groups and context, as well as the scalability and transferability of the proposed measures. Applications must include a detailed project description, proof of organizational sponsorship, and a curriculum vitae of the applicants. The award aims to raise public awareness of impactful concepts and accelerate their implementation. Interested initiatives thus benefit from a continuous submission opportunity while receiving valuable impulses for the further development of their risk and resilience strategies.
