Description
The special funding program Natura 2000 Region Isel specifically sets impulses for a holistic, sustainable development of the natural, cultural, and economic area in the district of Lienz. Based on the catalog of measures defined in the Regional Economic Program, investments in environmental and nature conservation, energy efficiency, climate protection, as well as agriculture and rural development are purposefully supported. Grants promote innovative projects to strengthen outdoor offerings, diversify tourism services, and improve public services, in order to increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of the region and establish long-term value chains in the Isel Valley. By bundling funding resources, a sustainable foundation is created for private and commercial investments that further enhance the quality of life and work on site.
Eligible for funding are commercial enterprises, gastronomy and accommodation businesses, campsites, as well as private landlords in the municipalities of Ainet, Hopfgarten i. D., Kals, Matrei i. O., Oberlienz, Prägraten, St. Johann im Walde, St. Jakob i. D., St. Veit i. D., Schlaiten, and Virgen. A prerequisite is a project location within these municipalities, alignment with one of the defined fields of action, and the absence of an alternative funding option at the state, federal, or EU level. Applications can be submitted in the period 01.03.2024 to 31.12.2025. For submission, the general application form, the form for private landlords, and a municipal confirmation regarding the extent of the rental are required. The program offers a targeted financing opportunity for all those who wish to invest in the future viability and diversity of the Natura 2000 Region.
