Description
The state of Upper Austria offers subsidies within the framework of social and health promotion measures for additional expenses related to disabilities. Funding is provided particularly for assessment procedures and perspective development within the neuro-network to open up individual participation and development opportunities for people with impairments. Support is granted as a direct subsidy to private applicants and is awarded on an ongoing basis. Applications should generally be submitted before the start of the measure; in justified exceptional cases, submission is possible up to six months after implementation. The use of funds must be demonstrated as economical, efficient, and appropriate, with original invoices and payment receipts serving as proof of expenditure. The aim of this funding is to cover necessary costs when no other cost bearers—such as in the case of work or leisure accidents—are responsible.
Eligible are persons with an impairment recognized under the Upper Austrian Equal Opportunities Act, who demonstrate the disability-related necessity of the requested measure through a medical expert opinion. Further requirements include the appropriateness of costs and the submission of cost estimates as well as a completed and signed application form or informal application letter. The funding criteria cover social integration, work, and health, with an examination of income, insurance, and registration data. Since the funding is valid indefinitely and does not have a deadline, applicants can act flexibly. This aid significantly supports key steps on the path to greater self-determination and social participation.
