Description
An investment grant from the City of Vienna supports private households in the initial installation of sanitary facilities in existing apartments and unfinished attic spaces. Eligible installations include toilets, bathrooms, shower trays, or bathtubs, with a funding rate of up to 35% of the verified and reasonable costs, but no more than €200 per square meter of usable living space. The aim is to upgrade the apartment category and create new housing units in buildings that are at least 20 years old. Applicants must have their main residence in the apartment to be renovated, including both tenants and owners, with a usable area between 22 m² and 150 m². For attic conversions, income limits according to § 11 WWFSG 1989 also apply.
Applications can be submitted continuously from March 1, 2024, until further notice. Required documentation includes, among others, an official building permit or building notification, a color copy of the plans, as well as a cost estimate and invoice (with an invoice date not older than six months). For rental apartments, a consent declaration from the property owner is required; for municipal apartments, approval from Wiener Wohnen; and for condominiums, a current excerpt from the land register. Own labor and pure material costs are not considered. Through this ongoing funding, the City of Vienna contributes to the modernization of living spaces and the creation of contemporary residential comfort.
