Day Care Centers for Seniors

The funding supports care and supervision in day centers for elderly persons in need of care and support with their main residence in Carinthia. Non-profit organizations, companies, and public institutions operating day centers can apply for a grant at any time once the services commence. The goal is to enrich the daily lives of care allowance recipients through qualified supervision in regional day centers and to relieve caregiving relatives. The funding offer is permanently available and specifically targets seniors who rely on professional support due to health limitations.

A prerequisite for receiving the grant is direct contact with the chosen day center, proof of care allowance receipt, and a written care contract between the State of Carinthia and the operator of the facility. To submit the application, current income statements (especially pension notices), the care allowance notice, a signed funding application, and the care contract are required. The day centers forward all documents for approval to the Office of the Carinthian State Government, Department 5 – Health and Care. A tiered personal contribution, depending on the duration of attendance and the amount of care allowance, is paid by the attendees. The application process is straightforward and takes place directly with the day center operator at the start of the services, ensuring a seamless commencement of care.
