Description
The territorial partnership in Carinthia supports the transition from school to work by promoting career and educational orientation managers, who act as a central interface between schools, parents, and the economy. In close cooperation between the State of Carinthia, AMS Carinthia, the Regional School Board, and the social partners (Chamber of Labour, ÖGB, Chamber of Commerce, and Federation of Industrialists), regional networks are established and access to practical experiences in the working world is created. Through targeted events, practice-oriented project offerings, and individual counseling services, a well-founded career orientation for young people is ensured, and parents are supported in their children’s educational and career choices. The information hubs of the managers also serve as mediators of special support services and strengthen the collaboration of all involved actors. The program covers the fields of education, training and further education, counseling, as well as business financing, thus creating comprehensive support in the educational and professional sectors.
Eligible for funding are exclusively non-profit organizations that provide counseling services on behalf of the project partners and submit accounting through the sponsoring association “Promotion of Carinthian Labor Foundations.” Applications can be submitted continuously; there is no time limitation on the deadline. Financing is provided as a grant with a 100% funding rate of the eligible costs, divided equally as follows: 50% State of Carinthia, 25% AMS Carinthia, and 12.5% each from the Chamber of Labour/ÖGB and the Chamber of Commerce/Federation of Industrialists. Participating organizations and their target groups – youth transitioning from school to work, their parents, teachers, and regional companies – thus receive sustainable support in implementing demand-oriented career and educational orientation measures. The funding opportunity has existed since 2014 without a time limit and allows flexible project planning for non-profit sponsoring associations.
