Description
The funding instrument Territorial Employment Pact / Career and Educational Orientation Carinthia is aimed at interest groups and associations in the state of Carinthia and grants a 100% subsidy for the employment of career and educational orientation managers. Focusing on the topics of vocational training & further education as well as general education, it promotes the school and career orientation of young people, particularly in the 7th, 8th, and 11th grades, as well as their parents and teachers. The goal is to establish regional networks between schools, parents, businesses, the Public Employment Service (AMS Carinthia), and other partners. Financing is jointly provided by the state of Carinthia, AMS Carinthia, the Chamber of Labour/ÖGB, and the Chamber of Commerce/IV. Applications can be submitted at any time, as the program has been continuously available since January 1, 2014.
The focus is on organizing and conducting practice-oriented events and projects – ranging from trial days in companies and information fairs to digital formats such as livestreams and online platforms. The managers act as central contact points for training and career choices, develop workshops, parent evenings, and speed-dating events, and coordinate support and advisory services. Through intensive exchange with local companies, they provide realistic insights into the working world and thus contribute to securing skilled labor in the region. A prerequisite for funding approval is the submission of accounts by the sponsoring association "Promotion of Carinthian Labor Foundations." The use of all services is free of charge for all target groups and is carried out in the interest of sustainable career and educational orientation for young people in Carinthia.
