Description

The funding program of the State of Upper Austria supports private individuals with disabilities as defined by the Upper Austrian Equal Opportunities Act, who incur additional disability-related expenses from therapy costs not covered by social insurance providers. Within the fields of social affairs, health, as well as work & social affairs, grants are awarded to promote participation in social life and to alleviate financial burdens. Applications must generally be submitted before the start of therapy; in justified exceptional cases, they may be submitted up to six months after the completion of the measure. The funding is ongoing and was first opened on 28.10.2013.

Up to 50% of the expenses for Tomatis auditory training, Acoustic Integration Training, Music Therapy, and Therapeutic Vaulting are funded. The funding requirements include medical confirmation of the disability, falling below the specified household net income limit, the reasonableness of costs, the non-responsibility of other cost bearers, and the therapy being conducted by a qualified therapist. Applicants must submit original invoices, original payment receipts, cost estimates, medical reports, proof of household net income, and the completed and signed application form. The use of funds follows the criteria of economy, efficiency, and appropriateness.
