Funding objective
Funding is provided for improvements in thermal insulation of commercially used buildings with an initial building permit before 01/01/2002, in particular insulation of roofs and top floor ceilings, replacement of windows, skylights, light strips, as well as sectional and rolling doors.

Description
The "Thermal Building Component Renovation" supports energy-efficient modernizations of company buildings that are older than 15 years and were first approved before 01/01/2002. Measures funded include insulation of roofs and top floor ceilings (max. U-value 0.14 W/m²K), replacement of windows, skylights, and light strips (Uw ≤ 1.1 W/m²K or ≤ 1.4 W/m²K), as well as the renewal of sectional and roller doors (Uw ≤ 1.7 W/m²K). In a special initiative, businesses affected by flooding benefit from simplified conditions. The funding rate is up to 30% of eligible expenses, and applications can be submitted until 12/31/2025. Requirements include, among others, proof of U-values in the invoices and submission of the application no later than six months after invoicing.
Eligible applicants are companies, non-profit organizations, interest groups, as well as other associations and religious institutions planning structural thermal insulation measures on commercially used buildings. The processing is carried out as a flat-rate grant based on the renovated areas. Submission must include the completed billing form, invoice copies with Uw specifications, and an official photo ID. The online application is submitted via the "Meine Förderung" service at Kommunalkredit Public Consulting. Through this, the program makes a sustainable contribution to reducing heating energy demand and greenhouse gas emissions throughout Austria.
