Description
The Tyrolean Mobility Program continuously supports climate-friendly and sustainable mobility projects in municipalities, municipal associations, municipal enterprises, as well as schools and educational institutions in Tyrol. The goal is to strengthen environmentally friendly transport through innovative concepts and investments in public transport, cycling and pedestrian traffic, as well as measures for traffic safety and awareness-raising. Applications can be submitted at any time and are granted as subsidies with a funding volume ranging from 15% to 100% of eligible costs. The initiative supports both planning and concept development as well as structural and technical investments to implement regional infrastructure projects in a climate-efficient manner and to establish sustainable mobility structures.
For the application, a written request must be submitted, including a detailed project description with justification, proof of total financing or a detailed cost breakdown, and, for infrastructure projects, the corresponding construction plans. Eligible are planning and concepts in the areas of public transport, cycling, and pedestrian traffic, investment costs for climate-friendly mobility measures, as well as accompanying school and educational projects. Approval is granted based on the funding guidelines for the Mobility Program (government resolution 05.06.2012), which define all formal requirements and control mechanisms for the earmarked allocation of funds. The program thus makes a significant contribution to the traffic and climate protection strategy in Tyrol and promotes forward-looking mobility solutions at the regional level.
