Description
Tourism Stimulus Program for Marketing and Sales supports companies and founders in Upper Austria in the conception, marketing, and distribution of innovative tourism offerings. The goal is to strengthen product and destination brands in accordance with the guidelines of the "Tourism Handbook Upper Austria 2011–2016." Funding is provided to natural and legal persons, other corporate entities under commercial law, and tourism organizations according to the Upper Austrian Tourism Act 1990. A prerequisite is membership in an Upper Austrian tourism association or a formal cooperation with "Upper Austria Tourism." Applications can be submitted continuously, provided they are received by the regional authority before the project start. The program awards direct grants without a fixed application deadline and has been continuously available without limitation since July 2011.
Funding is provided especially for external expenses related to brand management and brand communication, development and marketing measures for innovative products, sales promotion of inter-company tourism offerings, as well as marketing of tourism events. The application must include the funding request, project description with objectives, marketing and sales concept, as well as a detailed cost and financing plan. Evaluation is based on the guidelines of the Tourism Stimulus Program and the general funding guidelines of the State of Upper Austria. Through this support, tourism stakeholders are enabled to efficiently reach their target groups and sustainably strengthen the region’s competitiveness.
