Description
The funding instrument is aimed at natural and legal persons, educational institutions, as well as non-profit and public organizations dedicated to research and innovation in contaminated site remediation. The focus is on projects that develop novel containment and remediation technologies and publish their results. Funding is provided particularly for approaches from nanotechnology, chemical in-situ methods, as well as the application of combined procedures to efficiently and ecologically sustainably eliminate contamination. Thanks to the continuous submission possibility before the start of the measure, the program offers flexibility and promotes interdisciplinary cooperation between experts from different disciplines in Vienna and Austria. The regional focus is on Vienna, with cooperation possible throughout Austria. The funding contributes to the preservation of environmental quality, the strengthening of biodiversity, and climate protection.
Eligible costs include personnel and material expenses, publications, as well as project-accompanying management, while insurance premiums, court and notary fees, or provisions and reserve formations are excluded. Selection follows clear criteria: degree of innovation, ecological impact, and economic and business efficiency are central. For application submission, in addition to a well-founded variant analysis, a form for determining the funding amount, a detailed financing plan, an appraisal on the value increase of the property, and a technical data sheet must be attached. SMEs, large companies, interest groups, and research institutions thus receive a platform to realize their visionary contaminated site remediation solutions and achieve a sustainable impact in the environmental and climate sector. Applications can be submitted continuously and must be made before the start of the measure.
