Support Services for Disaster Events

Support Service for Disaster Events in Salzburg offers non-profit aid organizations a reliable source of funding to manage disaster situations such as environmental catastrophes. Recipients of this funding are recognized organizations active in the fields of disaster protection and social work. From 01.01.2024 onwards, applications can be submitted indefinitely, with the grant being awarded as an individual approval. The objective of this measure is to effectively support the implementation of immediate relief, rescue, and reconstruction efforts, thereby ensuring the operational capability of aid organizations in emergency situations.

Within the framework of individual case decisions, approval is granted by the responsible member of the Salzburg state government. If necessary, a government resolution may also be required. Eligible expenses include those directly related to the preparation, execution, and follow-up of aid measures, such as material procurement, logistics, or training offerings. Thanks to the continuously open submission deadline, initiatives can respond flexibly to changing operational conditions. This funding instrument strengthens the resilience of non-profit organizations and makes an important contribution to comprehensive disaster protection in the Salzburg region.
