Funding requirements
- At least 50% of the event duration must be conducted by organizations or speakers independent of companies and products
- Own contributions of the applicant (e.g. personnel resources, event venue) must be provided
- Event series must be conducted within three months
- Event must be promoted in the applicant's media or in regional media
- For online events: duration at least 1 hour; separation of moderation and presentation; establishment of a chat function; professional equipment required

Description
The event voucher is aimed at municipalities in Lower Austria, municipal associations, as well as legally recognized parish communities and religious organizations, including their educational centers. With a funding rate of 75% (up to a maximum of €1,000 per event), it supports seminars, workshops, film screenings, and other informational and motivational formats on energy and climate topics. The goal is to raise public awareness, strengthen local cohesion, and encourage responsible action. Contributions from company- and product-independent organizations or speakers play a central role, ensuring content neutrality and quality. The funding initiative is open until December 31, 2026, and allows applications up to six months after the conclusion of the event or event series. Project periods can be extended over a period of up to three months to flexibly set thematic priorities and reach different target groups.
Eligible costs include fees for speakers, moderation services, rental fees for technical or digital equipment, films, accompanying exhibitions, and venue rentals, while investments in own equipment, catering, or prizes are excluded. A prerequisite is media promotion in municipal and regional media as well as a personal contribution in the form of personnel or room usage. For online formats, minimum duration, separation of moderation and presentation, chat function, and professional equipment must be ensured. For the application submission, in addition to the fully completed form, the event program, information about speakers and organization, invoices with proof of payment, as well as participant lists, screenshots, and follow-up reports for online events must be provided. This funding instrument relies on practical impulses and provides municipalities and parish communities with a compact framework to sustainably anchor energy and environmental awareness.
