Description
The initiative Traffic Education for Preschool Children by the Sporleder Foundation is aimed at preschool educational institutions with non-profit or public sponsorship in Germany. The goal is the sustainable promotion of road traffic safety and the strengthening of mobility-related skills even before the start of school. For this purpose, practice-oriented project modules are provided, and daycare centers are equipped with age-appropriate children's vehicles, books, and play materials. Educational professionals thus receive continuous support in implementing modern traffic education concepts, optimally preparing the youngest children for their first journey to school. Through targeted use of materials, the program contributes to accident prevention and makes mobility experiences tangible in a protected environment.
Within the framework of 100% sponsorship, all expenses for the acquisition of vehicles, books, and play materials are funded. Applications can be submitted at any time, as allocation is ongoing and there are no fixed deadlines. Eligible for funding are non-profit or public preschool educational institutions, such as kindergartens and preschools, that offer structured traffic education. With this unbureaucratic support, high-quality teaching and learning resources are to be provided nationwide to strengthen early childhood safety in road traffic and sustainably promote the independence of young road users.
