Description
The Vorarlberg Health Promotion Fund (GFF) supports non-profit organizations, public institutions, educational providers, and foundations in Vorarlberg in implementing innovative projects for health promotion and prevention. Since the beginning of the new funding period 2024, it provides funds from the state as well as from social insurance carriers and aligns itself with the current Vorarlberg Health Promotion and Prevention Strategy. The goal is to sustainably strengthen physical, mental, and social health literacy in various life settings. Programs that promote physical and mental resources, implement participatory approaches, and ensure equal opportunities are addressed. The duration is set to a maximum of five years, enabling long-term effects and sustainable impacts.
Eligible for funding are exclusively legal entities under public or private law with non-profit status, which ensure appropriate documentation and evaluation and provide proof of purpose-appropriate use of funds. Personnel expenses, project-related material costs, and up to 10% overhead are eligible for funding; representation expenses, imputed costs, and lost profits are excluded. Applications can be submitted on March 15 and September 15 each year (next deadline: 15.09.2025), with the funding period extending until the end of 2028. For the application, the project funding application, budget and timeline templates, as well as the funding guidelines, must be used. After evaluation by the Health Promotion Commission, the funding commitment is made by the State Target Steering Commission. Decisions are based on strategic and goal conformity, documentation quality, budget adequacy, and sustainability.
