Description
“Balance the World!” is the development policy education and awareness promotion program of the State of Tyrol, targeting private individuals, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, companies, interest groups, foundations, and public institutions. It supports interactive, multisensory projects with funding amounts ranging from €500 up to a maximum of €100,000. The focus is on (awareness) education for a globally, regionally, and locally sustainable development that balances society, environment, and economy. Ongoing submissions allow for flexible planning, with the initiatives to be implemented statewide and sustainably established in the long term. Thematically, the funding covers education, development cooperation, vocational training and further education, as well as agriculture and rural development in Tyrol.
The program addresses children, adolescents, and adults in various organizational contexts (e.g., municipalities, schools), whereby interactive and multisensory teaching methods ensure broad and diverse participation. Key selection criteria include methodological quality, diversity of target groups, regional impact, as well as sustainability and development policy educational elements. Applications must be submitted in writing with a project description and cost and financing plan and must comply with the funding guidelines. Through continuous submission opportunities and a focus on innovative, sensually perceptible formats, the program promotes the self-efficacy of participants and opens up diverse scopes for action towards a sustainable society.
