Description

In Upper Austria, a continuously running funding initiative enables private legal entities from associations, cooperatives, companies, foundations, and non-profit organizations to receive direct grants for the new construction and renovation of residential facilities, workshops, and therapy rooms. The measure is based on the provisions of the Upper Austrian Equal Opportunities Act 2008 (as amended) and targets projects in the areas of social affairs, housing construction & modernization, work & social affairs, as well as infrastructure & urban development. The aim is to create barrier-free structures that provide contemporary living and working spaces for people with support needs and promote social participation. Applications can be submitted at any time to professionally prepare investment projects and establish a sustainable supply network.

Funding requirements and legal basis: A prerequisite for funding is the completed proof of project approval by the Office of the Upper Austrian State Government, Department of Social Affairs (including needs and social planning), as well as the successful completion of a cost containment procedure. Only projects that comply with the provisions of § 26 of the Upper Austrian Equal Opportunities Act 2008 (as amended) and the General Funding Guidelines of the State of Upper Austria are eligible for funding. The initiative is aimed at funding recipients who wish to sustainably improve the quality of care and living conditions of people with support needs through high-quality investments. Early coordination with the responsible specialist departments is crucial for optimizing the application process and the prompt realization of projects.
