Description
In the federal state of Vorarlberg, a continuously available social benefit is provided for care-dependent individuals in care allowance levels 5, 6, and 7, who are cared for at home by relatives or neighbors. As part of the funding areas of Social Affairs, Health, and Work & Social Affairs, a monthly supplement of €100 is granted in addition to the state care allowance. This subsidy scheme serves the targeted financial support of outpatient care and is continuously accessible. Applications can be submitted at any time, allowing flexible responses to changing care needs.
The funding aims to strengthen care-dependent persons by providing additional relief to private caregivers and to ensure their remaining in the familiar home environment. Funding requirements include, in addition to the active receipt of the federal care allowance levels 5–7, the predominant caregiving by relatives or neighbors, residence in Vorarlberg, and the exclusion of concurrent funding for 24-hour care. To apply, the valid federal care allowance decision and the official application form must be submitted. This subsidy makes a valuable contribution to stabilizing home care by reducing financial barriers and promoting the quality of care in the familiar environment.
