Description
The City of Vienna grants a purpose-specific subsidy within the framework of ongoing funding opportunities for the purchase of teaching and learning materials for private general compulsory schools in Vienna. This funding, effective since March 1, 2022, with no end date, is anchored in the field of education as well as training and further education and is 100% financed. Per student and school year, €36.34 is available for the first four compulsory school years and €65.41 for the fifth to ninth school year. The aim is to enable private school operators to design individual teaching and thereby optimally support the pedagogical priorities.
Expenditures for teaching and learning materials such as writing and drawing supplies as well as materials for technical and textile crafts are eligible for funding. The funding period is 12 months; applications can be submitted at any time to the City of Vienna – Schools (MA 56). After a central order from a specified list of items, the amount exceeding the order value is paid out in cash as a subsidy and is available to the schools for the autonomous procurement of additional materials. A prerequisite is the status as an operator of a private general compulsory school in Vienna. This support allows the teaching equipment to be adapted according to needs and enables sustainable quality development in school practice.
