Mission & Vision

The Bürgerstiftung Westenholz promotes civic engagement and social initiatives for the benefit of the Gemeinde Westenholz and its citizens. It initiates and supports projects that strengthen local institutions, preserve cultural traditions, advance environmental and monument protection, and enable education, sports, and social participation. Independent of state-mandated duties, it operates selflessly, denominationally, and politically neutral to foster community spirit and the shared responsibility of citizens.

Target groups

Individuals, clubs, initiatives, and organizations with a residential or operational focus in Westenholz and the surrounding area are supported. This includes citizens of all age groups (from children and youth to seniors), local cultural and sports clubs, as well as social and volunteer groups. Specific projects target, for example, 7–16-year-olds (instrument purchase) and 6–10-year-olds (sports beginners) to support young talent in music and physical activity.
