CELTIS-Stiftung
About the funder
The CELTIS Foundation was established in 2003 as a legally recognized public foundation under civil law, following intensive preliminary work and benefit events, and was approved by the government of Lower Franconia. As the first foundation at a Bavarian secondary school, it raises capital through endowments from private individuals, companies, and associations, currently holding foundation capital of approximately €130,000. The income and endowment funds are used annually for acquisitions and measures at the Celtis-Gymnasium Schweinfurt that are not financed by the regular budget. These include teaching and learning materials, musical instruments, sports equipment, and a variety of in-kind donations such as table tennis tables, jerseys, a planetarium, or a microscope. Under state foundation supervision and with sound asset management, the foundation guarantees the dedicated and sustainable use of funds. Tax deductibility of endowments and notable recognition opportunities through sponsorship modules motivate further supporters to engage in long-term commitment.

Target groups
The target group of the CELTIS Foundation comprises, on the one hand, the private support community consisting of parents, alumni, companies, and other interested parties who participate as donors in long-term capital formation. On the other hand, the students and teachers of the Celtis-Gymnasium Schweinfurt directly benefit, as their projects, materials, and extracurricular activities are supported through disbursements in the form of in-kind and monetary donations.
