Courage – Die Gerberding Stiftung

Courage – The Gerberding Foundation, based in Holzminden, was established in 2007 by Kirsten and Horst-Otto Gerberding. The non-profit foundation promotes civic engagement, the education and training of adolescents and young adults, as well as youth sports in the city of Holzminden and the surrounding district. As an operational foundation, it develops its own projects, initiates events, and additionally supports external projects such as "Music with Courage!" in cooperation with the Holzminden Music School. The Gerberding Foundation sees itself as a beacon for mindfulness, values, and courageous action, aiming to empower and connect people of different ages and cultural backgrounds in the region.

A good dose of optimism and hope is essential to create a balance to the realities of life in our society. To provide a positive impulse, to inspire and to motivate – that is the mission of COURAGE! The Gerberding Foundation. We believe in the transformative power of commitment and community and aim to make courage, mindfulness, and appreciation tangible through our projects.

The funding programs and projects of the Gerberding Foundation are primarily aimed at children, adolescents, and young adults in the Holzminden area. In addition, the foundation supports clubs and organizations engaged in civic participation and youth sports. Families and initiatives committed to education, cultural inclusion, and social values receive targeted support.
