About the funder
The Deutsche Bank Foundation is a non-profit foundation under civil law based in Frankfurt am Main, financed from the proceeds of the foundation's assets. It was established in 2005 through the merger of the Alfred Herrhausen Foundation (help for self-help) and the Deutsche Bank Cultural Foundation. The foundation independently initiates and supports projects and promotes exemplary partner projects in the fields of culture, education, and social affairs in Germany. Internationally, it is primarily engaged in disaster prevention.

Mission & Vision
The Deutsche Bank Foundation aims through its activities at the development and sustainable strengthening of potentials, especially of young people. It initiates projects that open up new experiential spaces and unfold individual talents. It promotes emerging artists and scientists, supports integration and equal opportunity measures, and contributes to cultural diversity.
Target groups
Funding applications can be submitted by domestic tax-privileged corporations and public law entities such as associations, foundations, universities, and non-profit limited liability companies (gGmbHs) that implement projects in the fields of culture, education, or social affairs. Project funding is aimed at young people, artists, individuals with migration and refugee backgrounds, as well as disadvantaged social groups who benefit directly or indirectly from the supported measures.
