Mission & Vision
The Hamburger Sportbund is committed to strengthening sports clubs and associations in Hamburg in their development and promoting their social role. It represents the interests of its members vis-à-vis politics and administration, develops innovative funding programs, and creates conditions in which sports and physical activity are accessible to all Hamburg residents. Together with partners from business, culture, and civil society, the HSB shapes sustainable sports structures and contributes to the quality of life and social cohesion in the city.
Target groups
The funding programs of the HSB are exclusively aimed at its member organizations – that is, sports clubs and associations in Hamburg. Individual persons cannot submit applications. Projects are supported in the areas of recreational and competitive sports, integration, inclusion, youth and senior sports, as well as investments in club-owned sports facilities. The goal is to assist clubs of all sizes in implementing attractive sports offerings for their target groups and to enable social participation through sports.
