Mission & Vision
The Johann Bünting Foundation is fully committed to the people and the region. Its goal is to provide assistance where financial resources are tight and to create long-term, sustainable impulses. The board and advisory council work on a voluntary basis, ensuring that all funds flow directly into regional support projects. The foundation promotes civic engagement and thus contributes to strengthening the social, cultural, and historical life in East Frisia.
Target groups
Funding is primarily provided to officially recognized associations of independent welfare organizations as well as institutions and projects committed to children and youth. In addition, intergenerational, family-oriented, and nature- and culture-focused initiatives receive support. Annually, the Johann Bünting Sponsorship Award is also presented to volunteers and groups from the foundation's core funding area.
