The KIT Foundation is the central funding organization of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). It consolidates donations and endowments, manages foundation funds, and deploys financial resources strategically to support research, teaching, innovation, and academic life at KIT. With a broad portfolio of awards, scholarships, project funding, and special funds, it strengthens scientific excellence and contributes to the development of new ideas and technologies.

Mission & Vision
The mission of the KIT Foundation is to sustainably support the KIT by acquiring external funds and using them responsibly. The goal is to strengthen outstanding research projects, innovative teaching initiatives, and the academic community, to support early-career researchers, and to deepen the networking of science, industry, and society at KIT.
Target groups
The funding opportunities of the KIT Foundation are aimed at the entire KIT community: students, doctoral candidates, postdocs, researchers, as well as institutions and projects of KIT. In addition, the foundation supports external partners and sponsors who wish to jointly advance future-oriented topics with KIT.
