The State Center for Political Education Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is the central institution of the state for the promotion and dissemination of political education. It offers a wide range of services: from financial support for events and projects to the publication of materials and the organization of exhibitions and training courses. As a partner for schools, memorials, civil society initiatives, and individual citizens in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, it strengthens democratic awareness, promotes tolerance and intercultural understanding, and supports multipliers in political youth and adult education.

The State Center aims to promote democratic action in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, deepen political knowledge and judgment, and strengthen the willingness to actively participate in politics. It sees itself as an independent and open institution that contributes to the consolidation of the liberal democratic basic order through advice, information, and support, and stimulates societal dialogue.

The offerings and funding programs are aimed at citizens of all age groups in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, particularly multipliers of political education such as teachers, youth organizations, adult education centers, memorial sites, and other civil society organizations. Additionally, school and extracurricular educational institutions, cultural institutions, as well as initiatives that wish to implement projects promoting democracy, tolerance, and historical engagement are supported.
