Marys Meals Deutschland-Stiftung

The Mary’s Meals Deutschland-Stiftung was established in 2013 as a legally valid foundation headquartered in Mainz. It pursues exclusively and directly charitable and non-profit purposes in favor of Mary’s Meals Deutschland e. V. and is recognized by the Mainz tax office. The foundation’s governing bodies are the board (identical to that of the association) and the foundation council, consisting of representatives of the founding family as well as the association’s auditors. Donations to the foundation are tax-deductible up to 20% of total income, can be carried forward indefinitely, and can be applied to the endowment fund up to a total amount of €1 million over ten years.

Food + Education = Hope. The foundation aims to support hungry children in the poorest countries through a sustainable financial foundation for Mary’s Meals projects. With a clear focus on transparency and sustainability, it promotes school meal programs that break the vicious cycle of hunger and poverty and enable children to access education.

The Mary’s Meals Deutschland Foundation is aimed at all those who wish to provide long-term support to hungry children in the poorest regions of the world. The direct beneficiaries are schools and communities in project countries, motivated by daily school meals to attend educational institutions. The foundation works closely with Mary’s Meals Deutschland e. V., local partner organizations, and thousands of volunteers to provide millions of children with a nutritious meal every day, thereby offering them a chance for a better future.
