About the funder
The Neumayer Foundation, officially known as the Amanda Erich Hansjürgen Neumayer Foundation, is one of the largest foundations in Germany. Founded in 1998, it is dedicated to promoting education, upbringing, art and culture, as well as supporting people in distress. The foundation is based in Frankfurt am Main and manages assets of approximately 190 million euros. It finances its projects from the returns of a broadly diversified investment portfolio aimed at long-term stability and real capital preservation.
The foundation is involved in various projects ranging from the promotion of boarding school scholarships to social housing initiatives. A special focus is placed on supporting young people and fostering their talents. For example, the Neumayer Houses provide affordable housing and socio-educational support for people going through difficult life phases.
