Paul Nikolai Ehlers-Stiftung

Public foundation

About the funder

The Paul Nikolai Ehlers Foundation is a legal public foundation under civil law based in Munich. Established in memory of Prof. Dr. Dr. Paul Nikolai Ehlers, it supports charitable projects in Germany and Russia that focus on the education and health of children up to adulthood. Following a significant donation and endowment from the estate of the artist Hans Schnell, the foundation’s purpose was expanded to include the promotion of art and culture, particularly the visual arts. The foundation’s charitable status has been recognized by the Government of Upper Bavaria. Since a private company covers all material and personnel costs, donations are fully allocated to the carefully selected projects.
