The Saarländische Kapitalbeteiligungsgesellschaft mbH (KBG) is a publicly organized investment company headquartered in the Atrium House of Economic Development in Saarbrücken. As a partner of Saarländische Investitionskreditbank AG (SIKB), it supports start-ups, emerging companies, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Saarland through equity investments. With funding programs such as the Capital Offensive for Start-ups and Micro-Mezzanine Investments, KBG strengthens the equity base and thereby improves the financing ratios and financial flexibility of its clients. In doing so, it forgoes traditional loan securities and offers individually tailored terms and conditions.

KBG aims to promote economic development in Saarland through targeted equity investments. It seeks to provide founders and SMEs with sustainable growth impulses by strengthening their financing structure, enabling investments, and thereby securing jobs and innovative capacity.

The target groups of the KBG funding programs are start-ups (including those within the framework of business succession), emerging companies, and SMEs in the commercial sector in Saarland, as well as specific target groups in selected programs, including young companies, training companies, businesses led by women or people with a migration background, and commercially oriented social and environmental enterprises.
