Solidarische Generationen Stiftung (SGS)

The Solidarische Generationen Stiftung is committed to the well-being of seniors, children, and young people across generations. It particularly supports projects that enable elderly people to live a self-determined and dignified life. This includes the establishment of barrier-free housing options such as assisted living communities for older adults, the organization of community bus services, as well as visitation and homework support programs connecting young and old. The goal is to reduce loneliness and strengthen social cohesion between generations.

The Solidarische Generationen Stiftung believes that every person deserves a life of dignity—regardless of their age. By creating innovative, intergenerational living and care models as well as accompanying service projects, the foundation aims to enable seniors to actively participate in social life while simultaneously supporting the development of children and youth. Under the guiding principle "Together instead of Alone," it promotes exchange, solidarity, and mutual assistance in everyday life.

The funding programs of the Solidarische Generationen Stiftung are aimed at older adults who wish to live independently and autonomously in a supervised shared living community, as well as at children and adolescents who can benefit from intergenerational care and educational offerings. Furthermore, the foundation addresses initiatives and working groups that seek to implement alternative housing models and support services for senior citizens.
