About the funder
The KalkGestalten Foundation is a community foundation in Cologne-Kalk, established in 2005 by committed citizens. It supports nonprofit initiatives and projects in the fields of education and upbringing, youth and elderly care, arts, culture and sports, environmental and monument protection, as well as international understanding, using the proceeds from its endowment. Since 2006, varying amounts of funding have been awarded annually for projects in the Kalk district (e.g., €22,000 for 13 projects in 2006, €10,000 annually since 2015).

Mission & Vision
We are convinced that everyone bears responsibility for the community. The KalkGestalten Foundation provides citizens with a platform to contribute their time, ideas, or financial resources to the Kalk district in a long-term and sustainable manner. Our goal is to promote voluntary and civic engagement to strengthen community and quality of life locally.
Target groups
The funding programs are aimed at non-profit initiatives, associations, and individuals in the Cologne-Kalk district who contribute to education, social participation, culture, environmental protection, or international understanding with their projects. Within the framework of "KalkFördert," projects are selected annually that promote community cohesion in the neighborhood and set new impulses for the district.
