Stiftung Kartei der Not

The Stiftung Kartei der Not is a non-profit relief organization of the Pressedruck Augsburg media group and the Allgäuer Zeitung publishing house. As a foundation under civil law, it has been supporting people who have fallen into hardship through no fault of their own for almost 60 years. In close cooperation with a network of social counseling centers, Kartei der Not provides financial assistance for acute emergencies and promotes sustainable projects. A particular focus is placed on supporting children and young people in difficult life situations as well as the pilot financing of social initiatives by non-profit organizations within its distribution area.

Our mission is to provide unbureaucratic and swift assistance to people who have fallen into hardship through no fault of their own and to sustainably improve their living conditions. We believe in the power of collective solidarity and specifically support projects and initiatives of social organizations to close gaps in state aid.

The Stiftung Kartei der Not is aimed at people of all ages experiencing hardship through no fault of their own in the Augsburg region and surrounding areas. Eligible to apply are needy individuals and families who contact the foundation through regional advisory centers. In addition, in accordance with its statutes, Kartei der Not also supports new projects and pilot initiatives of nonprofit social organizations and advisory centers that develop innovative concepts to alleviate hardship.
