About the funder

The foundation "Leipzig Helps Children" was established on November 24, 2009, in Leipzig by the Leipziger Volkszeitung, the Stadt- und Kreissparkasse Leipzig, VNG AG, and later by the Gewandhaus zu Leipzig and Porsche AG. As a non-profit and charitable fundraising foundation, it primarily supports initiatives and associations dedicated to youth welfare, public and vocational education, the arts and culture, as well as the assistance of children and adolescents in need. The foundation’s assets are managed in trust by Mitteldeutsche Stiftungsmanagement gGmbH.

Mission & Vision

The foundation "Leipzig Helps Children" aims to strengthen civic engagement through targeted financial support and to create equal opportunities for children and young people.
