About the funder

The STIFTUNG Sparda-Bank Hannover is a non-profit foundation under civil law that has assumed social responsibility in the Sparda-Bank Hannover's business area since its establishment in 2004. All funding originates from the bank's prize-linked savings, through which approximately 180 funding applications are approved annually. The FOUNDATION supports charitable institutions, associations, and projects across large parts of Lower Saxony, East Westphalia-Lippe, and Bremen in the fields of social affairs, charitable activities, education and upbringing, arts and culture, science and research, nature and environmental protection, as well as sports.

Mission & Vision

"Help for self-help" is the guiding principle anchored in the statutes. The STIFTUNG Sparda-Bank Hannover aims to support individuals and institutions in independently implementing new ideas and projects that make a sustainable contribution to social cohesion and a livable future.

Target groups

Only non-profit corporations, associations, and other foundations active in the Sparda-Bank Hannover funding area (from Bremerhaven to the Harz region) are supported. Applications can only be submitted by institutions and projects, not by individuals or professional athletes. The FOUNDATION places great importance on shaping a positive future and provides assistance where financial support is needed.
