About the funder
The Stiftung Weltkirche is a legal, public, and ecclesiastical foundation under civil law based in Mainz. Founded in June 2007 by the Diocese of Mainz, it is dedicated to the idealistic and material support as well as the promotion of church missionary, development, and peace work carried out worldwide from the Diocese of Mainz. The foundation's capital is permanently preserved, and its proceeds are specifically directed towards selected projects and initiatives in disadvantaged regions, thereby strengthening peace, justice, and sustainable development in the long term.

Mission & Vision
The Stiftung Weltkirche sees itself as an instrument of global solidarity of the Catholic Church: It aims to enable needy individuals and communities to improve their living conditions and to shape their future independently.
