The VR Foundation for Citizens at the Bavarian Lake Constance is a public foundation under civil law based in Lindau (Lake Constance), recognized on May 13, 2009, by the Swabian Regional Council. Since its establishment, it has been locally committed in the Lindau district, providing financial and ideological support to citizen projects and non-profit initiatives. Since 2009, 119 projects have been supported with a total of €264,983.18. The foundation is managed by the board members Mathias Hotz, Stephan Kraus, and Jürgen Mayer and is supervised by the Government of Swabia. The donation account at the Bavarian Lake Constance Bank is open to all supporters.

Mission & Vision
The VR Foundation for Citizens at the Bavarian Lake Constance is committed to strengthening the independent management of social responsibilities in the Lindau district. Under the motto "Home Connects," it supports projects that bring about sustainable change, are characterized by personal initiative, and actively shape the Lake Constance living environment. It believes in the power of community and invites citizens to engage as donors, benefactors, and active participants.
Target groups
Primarily supported are non-profit projects, initiatives, and individuals from the district of Lindau that correspond to a purpose defined in the statutes, independently address social issues, and demonstrate commitment through personal contribution and sustainability. Projects outside the district, commercial events, political groups, and undertakings that can typically be financed by other means are not supported.
