Mission & Vision

The Winfried Böhler Kultur Stiftung is committed to artistic innovation and advancement in the field of contemporary music. Its goal is to support composers and musical institutions through the composition prize "ad libitum" as well as additional funding measures, thereby making a sustainable contribution to the diversity and quality of the musical landscape.

Target groups

Composers are supported within the framework of the composition prize "ad libitum" in two variants: "ad libitum-Music School" in cooperation with music schools and "ad libitum-Tandem" for tandems consisting of professional and amateur ensembles. The target groups are thus music schools, professional and amateur ensembles, as well as composers who wish to participate in innovative composition projects.
