Description

The Alexander Tutsek Photography Grant is open nationwide to photographers specializing in contemporary photography and supports three outstanding projects under the motto “Stories on Humankind.” Each scholarship provides €50,000 to enable a 12-month realization period between November 1, 2023, and October 31, 2024. With a 100% funding rate, artistic visions are supported that engage innovatively and substantively with the theme of humanity and societal narratives. Applications are carefully evaluated based on artistic quality, innovative strength, and the concrete relevance to the thematic focus, in order to recognize and further develop exceptional approaches in photography.

The Alexander Tutsek Foundation, a non-profit institution based in Munich, has been committed to contemporary art and research since 2000. In addition to exhibition programs such as BlackBox & BlackBox FirstFloor, awarding scholarships for photography as well as glass and engineering sciences is among its core tasks. The Photography Grant complements the funding portfolio and offers individuals a platform to make their artistic concepts visible and realize them sustainably. Interested photographers independently design projects that expand the horizon of human experience while opening new perspectives on societal issues.
