General Tourism Funding

The General Tourism Funding in Carinthia offers a continuously available grant opportunity to strengthen and secure regional tourism. Targeted measures and investments that promote sustainable quality improvements and the expansion of tourism infrastructure are supported. The strategic framework is provided by the Tourism Strategy of the State of Carinthia as well as the tourism brand Carinthia 2025+, which supports innovative impulses and a future-oriented positioning of the region in national and international competition.

Eligible for funding are public institutions, non-profit organizations, companies, interest groups, and other associations that implement tourism projects in close coordination with the State of Carinthia, Carinthia Tourism, regional tourism organizations, and municipalities. Applicants are primarily municipalities, tourism organizations, tourism associations, and companies from the tourism sector that operate with a clear focus in Carinthia. Funding is mainly provided for expenses related to quality improvements and infrastructure investments, provided they deliver an additional impetus for tourism development and align with the goals of the Carinthia Tourism Strategy 2025+. Submissions are possible on an ongoing basis, allowing project sponsors to plan their initiatives flexibly and according to demand. Processing and decisions are carried out by Department 7 – Economy, Tourism and Mobility of the Carinthian State Government, which serves as the central contact point for economic management and promotion of tourism offerings in Carinthia.
