Description

The state of Burgenland continuously provides financial resources in the form of grants to non-profit senior citizens' associations in order to sustainably strengthen their advisory, informational, and support services. Eligible for funding are recognized interest groups or other associations whose area of activity covers the entire Burgenland and which are represented with branch organizations in at least three political districts. A further requirement is a specified minimum number of members, evidenced by a notarized form. Based on § 4 of the Burgenland Senior Citizens Act 2002, this ensures that measures for older people can be planned and implemented comprehensively. Applications can be submitted at any time – without a fixed submission period.

The funding is exclusively aimed at non-profit organizations and seeks to consolidate and further develop achievements in senior work. Required documents include a current extract from the register of associations, the annual financial statement, the fully completed funding application, and the membership confirmation. Through transparent allocation criteria, the funds are intended to be used purposefully and to ensure consistently high quality of the services offered. Thus, the program makes a significant contribution to strengthening the social infrastructure and promotes intergenerational cohesion in Burgenland.
