Description

The ARF – Project Funding for Primary Care Extended Service Offerings supports existing contracted group practices and independent primary care outpatient clinics in Vienna in expanding their range of services in a climate-friendly, digital, and multiprofessional manner. Projects aimed at improving energy efficiency, establishing e-mobility and barrier-free access, implementing digital applications for communication, documentation, and data protection, as well as creating tailored continuing education and training programs to strengthen multiprofessional collaboration, are eligible for funding. Eligible applicants are group practices and outpatient clinics in general medicine and/or pediatrics with contracts under § 343 ASVG, offering extended opening hours (at least 40 hours/week), a core team of physicians and nursing staff, and home visit services. Ownership entities with more than 50% participation may apply jointly with the ultimate beneficiary.

Funding is provided as a non-repayable grant with a funding rate of 50% of eligible expenses up to a maximum of EUR 500,000 for a project duration of 12 months. Eligible costs include investments for new construction, conversion, or expansion, the acquisition of medical and non-medical equipment, as well as expenses for continuing education and training. A prerequisite is that at least 80% of the annual turnover relates to services under health insurance contracts and that the facility is already operational. Applications must be submitted by 31 January 2026. A complete application includes the health insurance contract with the Austrian Health Insurance Fund, a detailed project concept with a timeline and cost and financing plan, a self-declaration regarding other funding applications, and proof of price reasonableness (submission of offers). Applicants are encouraged to thoroughly review the funding guidelines to successfully implement innovative care projects.
