Description
The Art Foundation of the State of Saxony-Anhalt supports young visual, applied, and performing artists, designers, as well as galleries and ensembles/theater groups from Saxony-Anhalt with this grant for presentations at regionally significant art and design fairs. Within this framework, up to €5,000 can be applied for stand fees, fair-related operating costs and supervision, travel and accommodation expenses, insurance, informational materials, and other expenses related to the stand presentation. Eligible applicants are private individuals as well as non-profit organizations with their main residence or headquarters in Saxony-Anhalt, who aim to expand the art and specialist market and establish themselves on national platforms.
A successful application requires a convincing presentation concept and a well-founded justification of the choice of fair with regard to the expected success. Submissions must be complete and received no later than three months before the start of the fair and include: an overview of the objects to be exhibited, a detailed presentation concept, a fair confirmation (for curated fairs), as well as a cost and financing plan. Natural persons may not account for in-kind contributions, whereas legal entities may limit in-kind contributions to a maximum of 10% of total expenses. Selection is based on the quality of the concept and the comprehensibility of the chosen fair.
