Funding objective
The goal of SpeedUp is to initiate and accelerate operational innovations in order to improve the market opportunities and profitability of Salzburg companies and to strengthen the competitiveness of the Salzburg economy. Project funding is open to all technology fields and includes individual and cooperative projects for the development or significant improvement of innovative products, processes, or services (TRL 2-7).

Description
Be-Inno | SpeedUp targets companies located in the federal state of Salzburg and supports individual and cooperative R&D projects in the technology sector (TRL 2–7). The goal is to initiate and accelerate operational innovations to sustainably increase market opportunities and profitability. Funding is provided for development and improvement projects related to new products, processes, or services. The projects are situated within technology readiness levels 2 to 7 and may, if necessary, incorporate technological services from research institutions to strengthen knowledge and technology transfer. Both agile start-ups with initial R&D activities and established SMEs can participate either as single entities or in consortia with other companies or research institutions. The project duration is a maximum of 24 months, and applications can be submitted continuously until 31.12.2027.
The funding is provided as a non-repayable grant with a rate between 20% and 50% (including bonuses for Green Deal contributions, young companies, and research cooperations up to 60%). Eligible costs range from €30,000 to €120,000, allowing grants from €6,000 up to €60,000. Recognized costs include personnel expenses, material costs for instruments and equipment, investments in intangible assets, external development and consulting costs, as well as travel expenses. Requirements include a valid trade license, a minimum of two years of operation, and project implementation in Salzburg. Selection is based on the degree of innovation, regional economic significance, and economic feasibility. Required submission documents include a completed application form, a detailed project description, and a financing plan.
